Family History: Enoch Barlow came to Indiana along with 2 of his sons in 1820. Then in 1823, they moved the entire family here. One of the 2 sons that came in 1820 is Bob Bell's great-great grandfather. Many of the item's that are in this unusual sale trace back to the Barlow family in 1820. Included in the sale is a sugar bin that Enoch traded sugar with the Indians for. Also making the original trip are 3 chairs. These chairs and the sugar bin are believed to be over 200 years old.

The sale offering: From the Barlow Family includes: The Maple Sugar Bin; (2) straight chairs and 1 rocker with wicker seats; Walnut Treadle Sewing Machine (100 + years); brass scales; 4 qt. Dazey Butter Churn; butter paddle; Child's trunk; beautiful pressed glass punch bowl and stand and 5 cups (over 100 years old); unusual napkin holder; Watham pocket watch; mustache cup, RS Prussia; JC Germany, & Old Foley England glassware, salts; hatchets & primitive axe; lot of misc. items that we're still finding.

Antique Furniture: Very nice Oak Hoosier cabinet; Poplar tin front pie safe in original condition; beautiful ornate Walnut settee; (2) ladder back cane bottom rockers; outstanding large spinning wheel; fold up sewing table; very old Rosewood parlor chair; treadle sewing machine; cedar chest; plant stands; small ice cream table; large butcher's block; ornate metal mantle; Master National Excelsior cook stove; beautiful Gone With the Wind lamp; leaded glass chandelier; floor lamps; oil paintings; table with leaf; plate rack. Wicker: very nice collection of early wicker. There are (3) flat arm and (2) flat arm rockers; flat arm swing; (1) round arm couch; also some accessory pieces. The wicker is in very good condition, and most is wire wrapped.
RAILROAD ITEMS   Very nice pieces
Bob is a retired railroad engineer. He started with the B&O and then the Chessy System; and on to CSX. There are (2) Edison Battery Jars from the early railroad crossing signals and also used in the early U.S. submarines; B&O steam locomotive inspection and testing manual; steam engine calipers; 2 RR lanterns; B&O brakemans lantern; B&O - C&O - Achison & Topeka - Santa Fe locks and keys; B&O water cup; water jug; metal toy engine and caboose; and other railroad memorabilia.
Farm Related Antiques & Collectibles
Very neat old two row potato planter; cross cut saws; one man cross cut; broad axes and hatchets; buggy lantern, and buggy pole; cow bell; unusual wooden weed scythe; shucking pegs; chicken waterer; early barb wire; corn sheller; spring seat; wooden pulleys; wooden wagon tongue; wheat cradle; primitive rake; chicken crate; egg baskets; meat saw; milk cans; lots of traps; pipe vise; other farm antiques.
