SOUTHBORO - BEATRICE A. (BARLOW) BROCK, , 65, of 9 Latisquama Road died yesterday in her home after an illness.

Her husband, former Fire Chief Edward F. Brock, died in 1985. She leaves seven sons, Patrick E. Brock of Amherst, Daniel F. Brock of Cohasset, Michael J. Brock of Franklin, Edward J. Brock of Lake Grove, Long Island, N.Y., Timothy R. Brock of Hopkinton, N.H., Stephen P. Brock of Westboro and Kevin J. Brock of Southboro; two daughters, Mary T. Milano of Port Jefferson, Long Island, N.Y., and Sandra A. Brock of Southboro; two brothers, Peter Barlow of Worcester and James Barlow of Framingham; two sisters, Amelia Honen of Southboro and Rita Barlow of Colorado Springs, Colo.; eight grandchildren; nephews and nieces.

She was born in Lowell, daughter of John F. and Philomene (Statuto) Barlow, and was raised in Marlboro. She lived here more than 42 years. Mrs. Brock graduated from Marlboro High School. She was a secretary for many years at the Southboro Fire Department, retiring about 1986. Mrs. Brock was a member of St. Anne's Church. She was active for many years in Marlboro Chapter, American Red Cross.

The funeral will be held Tuesday from Donald C. Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Anne's Church, 20 Boston Road. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.

BOSTON

Clarence H. Buck Jr., 72, of Anderson Street, formerly of Ashford, Conn., died yesterday in Massachusetts General Hospital after an illness.

He leaves a brother, Harvey B. Buck of Woodstock Valley; nephews and nieces.

He was born in Hartford, Conn., son of Clarence and Ruth 'Barlow' Buck Sr., and lived in Ashford, Conn., until after World War II.

Mr. Buck was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European-African-Middle Eastern theater. He saw action in the D-Day invasion of Normandy, the Ardennes and the Rhineland.

Mr. Buck last worked in the medical records department of Massachusetts General Hospital before he retired.

After cremation, graveside services will be held at a time to be announced in Westford Village Cemetery, Westford, Conn. Calling hours at Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove St., Putnam, are 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. The family requests that flowers be omitted.

WESTFORD, Connecticut

Clyde W. Hazen, 77, of Boston Hollow Road, formerly of West Brookfield, Mass., died yesterday in Windham Community Memorial Hospital, Willimantic, after a long illness.

He leaves his wife, Dorothy 'Barlow' Hazen; a stepson, Donald Burr of Willimantic; a step-daughter, Sandra Congdon of Dudley, Mass.; a brother, Walter Hazen of West Brookfield; three sisters, Rosamond Smith of Los Angeles, Edith Rayner of Worcester, Mass., and Carolyn Allen of Great Barrington, Mass.; three stepgrandchildren; 13 foster children; nephews and nieces.

Over the years, he and his wife were parents to 13 foster children.

He was born in West Brookfield, son of George and Florence (Benson) Hazen, and lived here 41 years.

He graduated from Warren High School and graduated, with honors, from Becker Junior College, now Becker College, in Worcester.

Mr. Hazen worked at Pratt & Whitney Division of United Technologies Corp in East Hartford for 27 years, retiring in 1981. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in United Baptist Church of Ashford, U.S. Route 44, Warrenville. Burial will be in Westford Village Cemetery. Calling hours at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Willimantic, are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ashford Volunteer Fire Department, Ashford, Conn. 06278.
