Hildred Barlow Murphy
Hildred Barlow Murphy was born in San Francisco, California, on 02 January 1891. She attended St. Francis Academy in Baker City, Oregon, where she painted on Haviland china and painted oils on canvas. Hildred submitted a pen and ink drawing for which she won 1st place at the 1915 Panama Pacific International Exposition World's Fair in San Francisco.

She married Daniel F. Murphy on August 13, 1929 in Boise, Idaho. Hildred and Daniel had four children - Kathleen, Margaret, Patrick, and John.  Daniel F. Murphy died around 1933.

MURPHY: In Albany, California, January 30, 1974, Hildred Murphy of 2943 Flannery Road, San Pablo, California. Wife of the late Daniel F. Murphy; loving mother of Mrs. Kathleen F. Thompson and Mrs. Margaret A. King both of Richmond, California; John R. Murphy of San Pablo, California and Patrick L. Murphy of Joliet, Illinois; also survived by 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Pinola, California. A native of San Francisco, California. Aged 83 years.

Friends are invited to attend funeral services on MOnday, February 4, 1974 at 9:00 a.m. at the Chapel of SCHMIDT & DIXON (Richmond Funeral Home) Macdonald Ave. at 38th St. Richmond, thence to St. Joseph's Catholic Church 837 Tennent Ave., Pinola where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held for the Repose of her soul commencing at 9:30 a.m. Rosary will be recited at the Chapel of Schmidt & Dixon on Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m. Concluding prayers and intemnet Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Lafayette.
